Middleham Falls

Middleham Falls is located within Morne Trois Pitons National Park and about 1.7 miles north of the village of Wotten Waven and 3.8 miles northeast of Roseau. This waterfall is about 300 feet high and pours into a pool of water where any weary tourist can take a refreshing dip. The cascading waterfall produces a large mist of water spray, presenting a scenic vista.

About Middleham Falls

Visitors to Middleham Falls can use the significant trail between the villages of Cochrane and Laudat. This same trail leads to part of the Waitukubuli National Trail. The trail from the village of Laudat is shorter to Middleham Falls since it takes about one hour to reach the exotic waterfall. Still, the one from Cochrane is easier to navigate and less steep. This Cochrane route runs past a rock crevice inhabited by bats and full of their droppings—it is known as Tou Santi or Stinky Hole.

The spray of mist from the huge waterfall invigorates surrounding trees and forests around the waterfall, and it covers the rocks in its vicinity with moss. Since the moss-covered stones are slippery within and outside the pool, tourists are advised not to jump straight into the pool except when they select a safe area to do so.
