Prince Rupert Bay
Prince Rupert Bay is just a walking distance from Portsmouth village and stretches to the Cabrits National Park. It is situated in the northwest of Dominica and can be reached 3.6 miles from the south of Clifton village.
The Rupert harbour and beach is always fascinating to visitors and they often swim or dive in its waters. After diving or snorkeling, tourists can always grab something to eat at nearby cafes located not too far from the beach. Visitors can grab sandwiches and bottled beverages or rum and beer from restaurants and enjoy their time at the beach.
Prince Rupert Bay has a gazebo and is lined with coconut palms and almond trees among other lush vegetation. Meanwhile, visitors at the beach may be lucky to find a volleyball game ongoing in the sands and then ask to join or even bring their own balls for a game on the sandy beach. Tourists at the beach can stroll to Fort Shirley which is not too far off or just move on to the Cabrits National Park to explore the lands.
