Lead Vocalist with Sound Masters Band and Nephew Perish in Fatal Accident

A 58-year-old man identified as Pierre Labasiere and his 26-year-old cousin, Pierson Labasiere, have reportedly lost their lives in a fatal road accident that occurred on Sunday. The senior Labasiere was said to be the lead vocalist of Sound Masters Band, and credited with composing the theme song for “Expeweans Kweyol” programme on DBS Radio.

Both men were from Good Hope village. They reportedly left Good Hope and were headed to Roseau when their car careened into a 100 feet precipice at a point known as Red Gully, located between Springfield and Sylvania at L’Imprevue Estate.

A search party was organized to find them when both men did not turn up at their destination for a long time. Ultimately, their car was found at the bottom of the precipice at Red Gully the next day, with fire officials and the police trying to recover both the car and the bodies of the accident victims.

The police are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash, and they promised to reveal more information when their investigations are concluded. Meanwhile, hundreds of people in Good Hope and Roseau continue to mourn the passage of both people, with many recalling how wonderful they were and how they had touched many lives with their positivity.
