Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority invites applications for the position of Director of Security. This role involves overseeing and strengthening security measures across air and sea ports, ensuring the highest levels of compliance and safety. Responsibility
The Director of Security is responsible for coaching, managing, and ensuring the training of personnel who provide frontline security and protection of air and sea travelers, airports, and seaports in keeping with the relevant protocols and legislation, and any other properties under the control of the Authority.
Experience and Qualifications
- B.Sc in Criminal Justice preferred, and/or Diploma from a recognized Police Training Academy with supplemental courses in law enforcement.
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in law enforcement or related field.
- Training and/or experience in law enforcement
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Mature individual who demonstrates a high level of integrity and discipline
Benefits and Others
An attractive remuneration package will be offered. The position will be contractual for two years in the first instance, subject to renewal based on performance.

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is charged with providing a coordinated and integrated system of airports, seaports, port services, as well as managing the assets, liabilities, resources, and functions of the ports. The DASPA Act allows the Authority to contract out any of these responsibilities, with the authorization of the Minister. DASPA provides tailgating, stevedoring and longshore services at the seaports while ground handling is provided by private local companies at the airports.
