Job Description

S-Mart Supermarket seeks a diligent Front-End Associate to manage cash register operations and ensure a tidy shopping environment. This role involves providing exemplary customer service, managing transactions precisely, and maintaining orderly storefronts.

As a front-end associate, your primary responsibilities involve providing excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and purchases. You will operate cash registers with precision and maintain a neat and organized front-end area, which includes restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.

Responsibility

• Scan and bag items quickly and accurately during checkout.
• Process various payment methods, including cash, credit, and debit cards.
• Monitor and manage the checkout area for cleanliness and organization.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels by informing management of low-stock items.
• Upsell additional products or promotions to customers when appropriate.
• Stay knowledgeable about store promotions, events, and policies to provide accurate information to customers.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cash handling experience would be an asset
• Organizational & communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Customer service oriented
• Basic computer proficiency
• Flexibility
