World Rivers Day

World Rivers Day is celebrated in Dominica annually on the fourth Sunday of September. In 2024, the theme was “Waterways for a Sustainable Future” highlights the island’s dedication to preserving its 365 rivers. The celebration, led by WAVE (Waitukubuli Advocates for Viable Environment), includes river clean-ups and tree planting along riverbanks.​
