Vince Henderson
Dr. Vince Henderson is a prominent political figure in Dominica, known for his significant contributions to both local and international diplomacy. Born and raised in St. Joseph, Dominica, he pursued education at the Dominica Grammar School before advancing his studies internationally. Dr. Henderson holds several prestigious degrees, including a Doctor of Law and Policy from Northeastern University in the United States, a Master of Laws (LLM), a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a Diploma in Education. His solid academic foundation equipped him for various leadership roles within the Dominica government.

Dr. Henderson first entered Dominica’s political scene in 2000, representing the St. Joseph constituency. He has held numerous key ministerial positions throughout his career, including Minister of Housing and Physical Planning, Minister of Agriculture and the Environment, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Labour, and Minister of Education, Human Resource Development, Sports, and Youth Affairs. He has also served as Dominica’s Ambassador to the United Nations and the United States and represented Dominica at the Organization of American States (OAS).
In December 2021, Dr. Henderson was appointed as Minister for Planning, Economic Development, Climate Resilience, Sustainable Development, and Renewable Energy, where he played a leading role in pushing Dominica’s climate resilience agenda, particularly the development of geothermal energy initiatives.
