Kabouwé Festival
The Kabouwé Festival is an annual Creole Heritage Month celebration in Dominica that honours the island’s traditional handmade toy, the Kabouwé – Pushcart. Originating as a pastime for Dominican children who Build their Kabouwé Pushcart from household materials, the Kabouwé Festival has evolved into a celebrated event, showcasing Dominica’s creativity, community spirit, and cultural heritage.
