Job Description
The Dominica State College invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of Spanish Lecturer. Under the general supervision of the Faculty Dean, the lecturer provides students with language proficiency and cultural understanding, preparing them for lifelong success in language-related careers and successful completion of their current programme.
Responsibility
- Planning units of work from the prescribed syllabus.
- Delivering instruction to designated classes as per timetable.
- Providing timely feedback and guidance on topics in an ongoing time-frame.
- Evaluating students’ performance in relation to the objectives of the course.
- Maintaining student’s records as required by the college.
- Supporting the Faculty Dean in miscellaneous institutional strengthening activities.
- Consistently upgrading own professional competencies.
Experience and Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Spanish
- Bachelor of Science in Spanish
- Teaching Certification is a definite asset
- At least 3 years of teaching experience working in Higher Education
