Job Description
Are you an experienced Fitter Mechanic with a strong background in automotive, mechanical, and hydraulic systems? Dominica Electricity Services Ltd. (DOMLEC) is hiring a skilled professional to handle vehicle maintenance and repairs. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a high-demand environment.
Responsibility
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of company vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical issues
- Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting
- Conduct inspections to ensure safety and efficiency of vehicles
- Maintain accurate repair logs and service records
- Work with engineers and technicians to optimize fleet performance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance policies
Experience and Qualifications
- An associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; or City and Guilds Certification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional or specialized training and/or exposure to:
- Generating plant equipment
- Electromechanical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Automotive electrical/electronic system
- Minimum of five (5) years industry related experience with exposure to various types of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license
