Fred Anthony Nicholas and Edgar Peltier Receive Special FLOW Awards
Fred Anthony Nicholas and Edgar Peltier received special FLOW awards. Nicholas was given the Creole Lifetime Award and Peltier was given the Special Employee Recognition Award. FLOW recognized both individuals for their outstanding contribution to music and the growth of the telecommunications company.
Nicholas is reputable for helping to grow the music industry in Dominica. He started out as a bass player and played with several upcoming artistes to help develop their crafts. He was also involved in many special band projects. He was part of the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers instrumental folk and song and participated in 20 of the 22 productions done by the group annually.
On a few occasions, Nicholas had assisted the Kairi School of Music children’s choir, and he is with the children’s choir of the Dominica Institute for the Arts. He established “Home Alone Studios”, a recording studio to enable artistes make recordings of songs for various purposes. Music educator Pearl Christian testified to the diversity of Nicholas, saying he was a good thing to ever happen to Dominica’s music industry.
Peltier received FLOW’s award for helping to organize and execute several CITP events for the telecommunication company. Ferdina Frampton of Corporate and Communications Department at FLOW Dominica revealed that Peltier is a treasured employee and managed the finance output for CITP and helped with the event’s execution. “He was there from the inception and served as part of a core planning committee,” Frampton said, noting Peltier has been with FLOW for about 20 years.
