Dominica Welcomes 12 Yachts for the 29th Karibik Trophy
Dominica welcomed 12 yachts carrying 70 sailors for the 29th Karibik Trophy (Fun-Regatta). The Karibik Trophy has long since become a household name amongst sailors. For almost three decades, this event has been held in various regions of the Caribbean. The enthusiasm for it is still unbroken and this is evident by the number of sailors who continue to participate, repeatedly.
Karibik Trophy combines sailing in a fascinating Caribbean island world with an exciting fun regatta and island activities. It is a sailing event for those who want to enjoy the sun, wind and blue skies in late autumn.
The rally which stayed in Dominica for 3 nights from November 18 – 21 hosted a welcome party, with entertainment provided by the Karina Cultural Group and a local band, and participated in several land and marine activities, as well as patronized restaurants and bars in the Portsmouth and Roseau/ Newtown areas.
This event was facilitated by Eddison Laville, owner of Eddison Tours and Yachting Services, with support from Discover Dominica Authority.
Discover Dominica Authority welcomes these opportunities as these events continue to drive development and promotion of Dominica’s yachting sector.
