EALCRP Initiates Site Visits for Agro-Processors

The Emergency Agricultural Livelihoods & Climate Resilience Project (EALCRP) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy, Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC), Value Addition in Agricultural Development specifically AGRO-PROCESSING wishes to advise applicants that facilities/site visits have commenced today Monday, June 10th, 2024, and will be undertaken until July 12, 2024.

The purpose of the site visit is to carry out interviews and to verify and fact-check the applications submitted.  This will be undertaken by a five (5) member team from the Division of Agriculture, Bureau of Standards, Environmental Health, and Small Business Unit.

In this regard processors are asked to make all necessary arrangements to ensure that the team has access to production, prep, and packaging areas within the appointment time agreed on.

The main objective of the CERC is to minimize food insecurity on the island while strengthening the value chain systems of agricultural commodities.

The CERC-Agro-processors component was launched in April 2024 and is expected to be completed by October 2024.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries have received US$25 million to implement the Dominica Emergency Agricultural Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project ( DEALCRP). The project which will be implemented over a five year period will be done in four main stages.
