Soursop Bar & Grill is looking for a Cook/Cooking Assistant to help prepare delicious meals, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure excellent customer satisfaction. Responsibility
- Assist in food preparation, chopping ingredients, and portioning meals
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere to hygiene standards
- Support chefs with cooking tasks and plating dishes
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies when needed
- Ensure food safety procedures are followed
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service role is preferred
- Culinary certification or relevant training in food preparation is an asset
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit is required
- Passion for cooking, food preparation, and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in a team and take direction from chefs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and busy hours
