The Melissa Skerrit Foundation, established in December 2016 by Hon. Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, Member of Parliament for the Roseau Central Constituency, is a charitable organization dedicated to enhancing the welfare of Dominica's citizens. The foundation focuses on supporting education, alleviating poverty, and promoting health and wellness across the island.

Educational Support from the Melissa Skerrit Foundation

A significant aspect of the foundation's work is its commitment to education. Through the annual "Adopt a Child Back-to-School Program," the foundation provides scholarships and essential school supplies to needy students. In a recent initiative, 50 scholarships were awarded to deserving students, and over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to students at various academic levels.
