The construction of the Newtown Primary School represents a monumental achievement in the educational landscape of Dominica. Funded by a $6 million grant from the People’s Republic of China. The modern facility, designed to accommodate up to 300 students, is equipped with fourteen classrooms, a library, science and art laboratories, and an office for the principal. A notable feature of this new building is the inclusion of an elevator, ensuring accessibility for physically challenged students, a first of its kind in Dominican school constructions​​​​​.
