The Rotary Club of Dominica is a vital part of the global network of Rotary International, committed to making a difference in the community through various service projects and initiatives. The club was chartered on July 1, 1974, and it embraces the principles of diversity and inclusion to enhance its outreach and impact. It is a member of District 7030, which spans from St. Kitts to Suriname, including 75 clubs and over 3200 Rotarians. The current president for the 2023/2024 Rotary Year is Nigel D. Shillingford, a dedicated Rotarian for twelve years. The club’s activities are centred around the theme “Create Hope in the World,” aligning with Rotary International’s global initiatives.

The Rotary Club of Dominica aims to foster a sense of community and service through various projects and social activities. The club works closely with the Rotary Club of Portsmouth and the Rotaract Club of Roseau and interacts with clubs from local schools to maximize their impact across Dominica. One of the key highlights from the previous year under Immediate Past President Genevieve Rolle was the successful organization of the Souse and Punch event, which raised significant funds to support the club’s projects. Additionally, the club facilitated two VOSH missions, providing essential eye care services to hundreds of Dominicans.
