Salybia Mission Project (SMP) is a non-religious student organization at Ross University School of Medicine nationally recognized as a non-profit organization in Dominica. We are fearless in our mission to provide essential healthcare services, supplies, and equipment to the Kalinago Community, the last remaining indigenous community in the Caribbean.

With a vision of equal access to reliable healthcare for the Kalinago, SMP embodies a holistic approach to community well-being, emphasizing sustainability, education, and advocacy.

Salybia Mission Project Clinic

The Salybia Mission Project operates a clinic within Dominica's Kalinago Territory to enhance healthcare quality and availability. SMP's efforts include maintaining the clinic's infrastructure, sourcing necessary supplies, and developing supportive services like medical transport. The project extends to educational initiatives for community health awareness, training for clinic service, and advocacy for the community's equitable healthcare access. SMP adapts to new service opportunities and inspires similar initiatives island-wide. The clinic, staffed by SMP student volunteers, is situated on Dominica's northeastern side, with transport arranged for the volunteers' clinic days.
