The school's construction, costing $3.8 million ECD, was significantly supported by the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the Government of Dominica also contributing. This collaboration highlighted the strong ties between Dominica and Venezuela, marking a new chapter in educational development for the children of Salybia and surrounding areas.

Technological Advancements and International Support

• US Embassy Book Donation: In 2011, Salybia Primary School received a generous donation of reading books from the United States Embassy, part of a broader initiative to promote literacy and education across the Eastern Caribbean.
