Atkinson

Atkinson is a rural settlement in Saint David Parish, situated just beyond Bataka in the Kalinago Territory. It is located along Dominica’s East Coast, facing the Atlantic Ocean and reached via the East Coast Road.

Location and Access

Located between Marigot and Salybia, Atkinson serves as a connector in Dominica’s northeastern region. This vantage point reveals a mix of low-lying shoreline and dramatic cliffs, offering sweeping views of Pagua Bay and three rugged promontories: Pointe Gombo, Pointe Des Herbes, and Pagua (Baraisiri) Pointe. The community is only a short distance from Segment #7 of the Waitukubuli National Trail, making it a welcoming spot for hiking and nature enthusiasts.
