Deep Water Harbour, officially known as Woodbridge Bay Deep Water Harbour, is a key maritime facility operated by the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) in Fond Cole, approximately one mile north of Roseau, Dominica. It is the main port for cargo and cruise vessels entering the island via the Caribbean Sea, making it a crucial hub for Dominica’s Tourism Industry and Trade sector.

Deep Water Harbour Geographical and Structural Features

The Deep Water Harbour is situated on the southwest coastline of Dominica in Saint George Parish, less than five (5) minutes away from Canefield Airport (DCF). The port’s coordinates are approximately 15°19’N latitude and 61°24’W longitude. The harbour includes an 800-foot main wharf with a width of 60 feet, extending up to 300 feet, and a depth of 32 feet alongside. The inner main wharf extension measures 300 feet long and has a minimum depth of 26 feet, accommodating large vessels such as the Emerald Princess and Queen Mary II.

The harbour supports various vessels, including cargo ships, cruise ships, and yachts. It handles most of Dominica’s imports and exports, including containerized goods, bulk carriers, petroleum tankers, and refrigerated cargo.
