Mwèsion, Pennwè (Lesser Antillean Bullfinch)

The Mwèsion, Pennwè (Lesser Antillean Bullfinch – Loxigilla noctis) is easily spotted across Morne Trois Pitons National Park, especially near forest edges. Known for its dark plumage and strong beak, it feeds on fruits and seeds. Its soft, metallic “chink” is often heard along trails in the Roseau Valley.
