Commonly found in Dominica’s rainforests and markets, Bois Bandé has deep roots in local culture. The bark can be combined with Mauby Bark to create a stimulating drink or marinated with meats. It’s especially prevalent around the Dominica Botanic Gardens and the Central Forest Reserve. The area is also home to other notable trees like Mang Blan and Chatannyé, which enhance the island’s biodiversity.
