Good Hope

Good Hope is a town located in Saint David Parish of Dominica. With a population of about 500 people, Good Hope is predominantly a community of fishermen and farmers. There a beach abutting to the town and residents often swim, fish and play in the waters.

The town has a pre-school, a computer centre, a local library, a disco hall, and an event centre all located within the precinct of a community resource centre. These facilities are managed by the Resource Centre Management Committee which also oversees development projects and other social infrastructures in the town.

There are some local business shops in Good Hope and these service the material needs of the people. The businesses also provide a boost to the social and economic life of the community. Many homes in the town have functional electricity power, running water, cable TV, internet connections, and other basic necessities of life.
