Kalinago Heritage Trail Overview

The Kalinago Heritage Trail, which spans approximately 12.4 kilometres, is a full-day hike that meanders through the Kalinago hamlets of Crayfish River, Salybia, St. Cyr, Gaulette River, Mahaut River while passing important heritage sites like Kalinago Barana Auté, L’Escalier Tete Chien and the Isulukati Waterfall. Hikers can learn about traditional practices such as canoe building, cassava bread making, and basket weaving, offering educational and scenic experiences.
