Londonderry
Londonderry is a scenic agricultural area on Dominica’s Northeast in Saint Andrew Parish adjacent to the Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM). The Toulaman River divides this region from Wesley, but it remains well-connected via the Melville Hall – Portsmouth Road to both Wesley and Marigot.
Coastal and Agricultural Importance
Londonderry Bay on the Atlantic Ocean provides enchanting coastal scenes that captivate visitors. The area’s rugged black-sand Londonderry Beach is a notable feature, popular for beachcombing and turtle conservation activities. The OECS/USAID Model Farm further supports agricultural efforts, promoting sustainable farming practices. Additionally, the Londonderry Estate remains a focal point for development, with initiatives to enhance tourism and agriculture, making it a key area for economic growth.
