Morne Morson

Morne Morson is a modest peak in the North of Dominica within Saint John Parish, nestled between the tributaries of the Barry River. The peak, which rises to 1,130 feet, lies between Destinée Estate and Deschamps, making it an essential natural landmark. To it’s north, it is flanked by other notable peaks such as Morne Destinée, Morne Les Héritiers, and Morne Brulés.

This area is liked among hikers due to its proximity to the Waitukubuli National Trail Segment #11 to the south, and Waitukubuli National Trail Segment #12 to the north. These segments are excellent for outdoor adventure and support Dominica’s Eco-Tourism initiatives by offering visitors opportunities to explore the island’s diverse landscapes and rugged terrain. The rich natural and agricultural history surrounding Bonne Espérance Estate and Champs Elysées Estate further adds cultural significance to the area, drawing in visitors interested in both the natural and historical aspects of the island.
