Saint George Parish

Saint George Parish is one of the 10 administrative divisions in Dominica. The parish has a total population of over 20,000 people inhabiting major villages and minor settlements. Roseau, the capital city of Dominica, is located in St. George parish.

Some of these villages and settlements include Bath Estate, Elmshall, Kings Hill, Copthall, Newtown (formerly known as Charlotteville), Castle Comfort, Goodwill, Tarish Pit, Potters Ville, Stock Farm, Yam Piece, Belle Vue Rawle, Fond Cole, Fond Cani, Trafalgar, Wotten Waven, Morne Prosper, Giraudel, Eggleston, Laudat, Loubiere, Bellevue Chopin, and Louisville among others.

Covering an area of 56.1 km2, Saint George is bordered by Saint Paul and the Boeri River to the north, Saint David and Saint Patrick parishes to the east, and Saint Luke parish to the south.

The people engage in farming, fishing, and other economic activities to improve their family incomes and grow the entire communities located in the parish.
