Saint Joseph Parish
Saint Joseph Parish is one of the 10 administrative divisions in Dominica. With a population of about 6,000 people inhabiting an area of 120.1 km2, the Saint Joseph Parish is a popular tourist attraction for many decades.
Some of the major settlements in the parish are the Saint Joseph village, Salisbury, Coulibistrie, Mero, Morne Raquette, and Belles among others. The Saint Peter parish borders the parish to the north, and Saint Andrew borders it to the northeast, while Saint David is to the east and Saint Paul parish is to the south.
Many film producers use Saint Joseph village as the location for their movies. Meanwhile, the longest river in Dominica, the Layou River, is also located in Saint Joseph parish.
