Saint Mark Parish

Saint Mark Parish is one of the 10 major administrative divisions in Dominica. With a population of almost 2,000 people occupying an area of 9.9 km2, the parish is the second smallest in the entire Dominica.

Being the smallest parish in the country with the smallest number of people, Saint Mark parish has only a handful of towns and villages. The three main settlements are Soufriere, Scotts Head, and Galion.

Saint Mark Parish is bordered to the north by Saint Luke parish and to the east by Saint Patrick parish. Government officials have promised to execute developmental projects aimed at enlarging the parish and increasing the number of people resident in the main settlements.
