Sineku, Kalinago Village

Sineku is a hamlet at the very edge of the Kalinago Territory on Dominica’s Northeast coast, situated in Saint David Parish. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Sineku offers stunning views and a gateway to several cultural and natural attractions, including the L’Escalier Tête Chien and the Kalinago Barana Autê.

Sineku, a Hamlet in Kalinago Territory

Sineku, located on the periphery of the Central Forest Reserve, is one of the eight villages within the Kalinago Territory. It is the first hamlet on Segment #6 of the Waitukubuli National Trail, the others include Gaulette River, Mahaut River, St. Cyr, Salybia, Bataka and Crayfish River. Prominently visible in the foreground is Morne La Source, while Raymond Bay is nestled securely among the protective cliff tops. Aratouri Ravine and Richmond River border the area on either side.
