Soufriere Sulphur Springs National Park

Soufriere Sulphur Springs National Park is located one mile from the village of Soufriere and the Soufriere-Scotts Head Marine Reserve. It is an eco-tourism site with several hot and mineralized water for baths and health purposes.

The two main streams in this reserve are Glo Gayak and Glo Cho. Many local people drink from the Glo Gayak stream for internal cleansing and other health benefits because of its high mineral content. Others bathe in the Glo Cho stream to derive health benefits from its murky and muddy waters. The Glo Cho is diverted into four pools for the use of the local natives.

Visitors to the Soufriere Sulphur Springs eco-tourism site can check out the information centre, change rooms, picnic shelters, and a hiking trail. Tourists can enjoy an invigorating bath in the mud pools and in the crystal-clear pools as well as in those rich in sulphur and other major minerals.
