Woodbridge Bay

Woodbridge Bay is the principal port of entry to Dominica. It is situated north of Roseau City and south of Canefield Airport (DCF). It is also not far from Stock Farm on the southwestern coast of the island. The bay or port is managed by the Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA). It has a dock, is the operating base for the Dominica Coast Guard, a container storage area, a refrigerated container area, and several sheds for various dock operations.

About Woodbridge Bay

Woodbridge Bay’s main pier provides access to ships and boats, and it is a platform built from the shore into the water and supported by piles driven into the water for support. Constructed in 1976, docking vessels can offload their containers using cranes on the pier, and it remains one of the main features of Woodbridge Bay.

Visitors can enjoy watching ships loading and offloading at Woodbridge Bay. Visitors who want to swim in the water may have to go far away from the harbour to a quieter place to enjoy the Caribbean Sea. One would find a suitable place to enjoy the water, about a half-mile from downtown Woodbridge Beach on the outskirts of Roseau.
