Woodford Hill Playing Field

The Woodford Hill Playing Field in Dominica is a central hub for sports and community events in Woodford Hill. Recognising its importance, the Dominica Government allocated $143,000 in 2015 for its enhancement, aiming to boost local sports and youth engagement.

Further improvements were made under the Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) program, with a contract worth $742,500 signed in 2020 to upgrade the facility. A key aspect of this project was the installation of proper drainage systems to ensure the field’s durability and usability.

Significant progress had been reported by January 2021, with the completion of the upgraded playing field and plans for constructing a players’ pavilion in the subsequent phase.

These developments underscore the community’s commitment to fostering sports and recreational activities, providing residents with a quality space for physical activities and social gatherings.
