Job Description
A reputable company is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Finance Manager. Provide Financial Direction, Planning and Accounting to the business. Plans and Direct Short-term and Long-term financial goals. Ensure fiscal Compliance & Governance; manage Short- & Long-term funding.
Responsibility
- Contributes to the formalion of lhe Business Strategy and ensures that ail financial policies, procedures and systems arc sound.
- Aid in Preparation of Annual Operating Plan and Business Plan.
- Build a forecasting tool and use it to ensure that the adequate measures are factored in to achieve business objects.
- Works with general management to plan and establish corporate budgets.
- Present operating and capital expenditure budgets for review and approval.
- Keep general management informed of departmental progress and problems.
- Ensures that optimal liquidity is available to deliver business plan
- Plans and directs short-term and long-term financial goals.
- Provides Financial direction, planning and accounting to the business - short term and long-ierm financial goals.
- Directs and assist the Finance and Accounting teams with reporting.
- Create accounting policies for the group
- Ensure sanity checks and delivery of monthly Financial Report.
- Ensures accounting processes conforms with all existing policies
- Monitors the use of restricted funds.
- Identify and formulate strategies to manage the cash and liquid assets of the Group effectively and efficiently.
- Manages and directs Finance
- Directorates. (People Development)
- Oversees activities of Finance Personnel (i.e. hires, coaches, appraises rewards, motivates, discipline, recommends and terminates, as necessary.)
- Works with Senior Management and Directors in setting standards, priorities, and schedules.
- Employee Engagement for Finance Group.
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA Training & Certification advantageous
- Minimum of 8 + years’ work experience in Finance spanning Corporate, Business Planning.
- Revenue Assurance, Treasury Management, and Accounting in a large organization with excellent knowledge about financial Business.
- Capacity to deliver on tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
- The Finance Manager should be fit and proper subject to the Financial Services Unit Fit and Proper Guidelines (March 2020).
- Knowledge of the Co-operative Societies Act and Regulations, Money Laundering (Prevention) Act and Regulations, the Proceeds of Crime Act and Regulation, familiarization with FATCA, and all other applicable laws and regulations.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, result-oriented.
- Able to work within and manage a team of professionals, guiding and coordinating towards achieving common objectives.
- Strong Leadership skills. Strong ethics.
- Networking ability - Internal & External. Influence and Cross-functional Handling Ability to communicate via oral and written communication channels professionally and effectively with all levels

In 1957, the Credit Union League was formed with the then twelve (12) existing credit unions on the island. The League grew out of the need for one, unified voice for the fledgling Credit Union Movement in Dominica.
The Dominica Cooperative Societies League Ltd. is the Apex body for Cooperatives in Dominica and is responsible for advocacy, training, strategic development and marketing of its affiliates’ interest. The DCSLL has been in existence for over 65 years serving the sector.
