Job Description

Lead with purpose. CMA CGM seeks a results-focused Branch Manager to direct business operations in Dominica. Based at H.H.V Whitchurch & Co. Ltd, the role involves overseeing daily functions, managing teams, and advancing strategic company initiatives.

Responsibility

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization in Dominica.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives and growth targets.
• Oversee daily operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that promotes employee engagement and development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business performance and strategic initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a management role, preferably within the Shipping, Transport or Logistics industries.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully managing relations with local authorities.
• Demonstrated success in leading and growing a business.
• Fluency in English. Spanish/French as a second language is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the local market, regulations and business environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven with a proven ability to achieve business goals.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
