Job Description
The Ministry of Public Works and The Digital Economy invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of engineer at the Technical Services Division of the Ministry of Public Works and The Digital Economy.
Responsibility
Under the supervision of the Chief Technical Officer, the Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of structural and engineering designs for roads, civil works and building for both new and existing works; manages and coordinates projects of various Ministries or Divisions of Ministries funded by external agencies to ensure proper execution and completion within budgeted cost; preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), detailed cost estimates and tender documents for proposed works, based on designs and specifications.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with at least three years experience
- Proficient computer skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Competent administrative and management skills
- Good Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to execute duties/assignments within established timelines and deadlines
- Skilled in project planning, implementation and monitoring
