Job Description
Bring your passion for the outdoors to Fort Young Hotel as a Groundsman/Landscaper, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our hotel’s outdoor spaces. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in nature and have a keen eye for detail in landscape care.
Responsibility
- Maintain hotel grounds, gardens, and outdoor spaces
- Perform landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, and mowing
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment
- Ensure walkways and public areas are clean and safe
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments as needed
- Identify and address plant health issues
- Support seasonal landscaping projects and hotel events
Experience and Qualifications
- Certification in landscaping or horticulture is an advantage
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Knowledge of horticultural practices and plant care
- Ability to operate landscaping tools and equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of irrigation and pest control systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
