Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority -(DASPA) is looking for dedicated Health & Safety Officers to promote safety across its facilities. This critical role ensures compliance with safety regulations and fosters a secure environment for staff and passengers.
Responsibility
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies
- Conduct regular inspections and audits
- Provide safety training to staff
- Investigate and document workplace incidents
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Identify and mitigate risks in daily operations
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to conduct training sessions and inspections
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Certification in occupational health and safety is an advantage
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is charged with providing a coordinated and integrated system of airports, seaports, port services, as well as managing the assets, liabilities, resources, and functions of the ports. The DASPA Act allows the Authority to contract out any of these responsibilities, with the authorization of the Minister. DASPA provides tailgating, stevedoring and longshore services at the seaports while ground handling is provided by private local companies at the airports.
