Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority -(DASPA) is looking for a Human Resource Assistant to support HR operations. This role involves coordinating recruitment, maintaining employee records, and assisting in training initiatives. Responsibility
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Assist in organizing training and development programs
- Support employee engagement initiatives
- Respond to HR-related queries and provide guidance
- Prepare reports and assist in performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with labor laws and regulations
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Previous HR experience or certification is a plus

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is charged with providing a coordinated and integrated system of airports, seaports, port services, as well as managing the assets, liabilities, resources, and functions of the ports. The DASPA Act allows the Authority to contract out any of these responsibilities, with the authorization of the Minister. DASPA provides tailgating, stevedoring and longshore services at the seaports while ground handling is provided by private local companies at the airports.
