Responsibility
The Maintenance Executive is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the sea and air ports maintenance departments, advising on and managing mechanical systems, supervising buildings and grounds, ensuring continuity and availability of equipment, and preparing required technical reports.
Experience and Qualifications
- Diploma in Motor Vehicle Engineering
- City & Guilds of London Certification
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Maintenance/Mechanics managerial/supervisory position
- Knowledge of Cummings engines would be an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Mature individual who demonstrates a high level of integrity and discipline
Benefits and Others
An attractive remuneration package will be offered. The position will be contractual for two years in the first instance, subject to renewal based on performance.

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is charged with providing a coordinated and integrated system of airports, seaports, port services, as well as managing the assets, liabilities, resources, and functions of the ports. The DASPA Act allows the Authority to contract out any of these responsibilities, with the authorization of the Minister. DASPA provides tailgating, stevedoring and longshore services at the seaports while ground handling is provided by private local companies at the airports.
