Job Description
ACE Engineering Ltd. is hiring a Project Manager - Civil Engineering to lead design, supervision, and construction management across various civil projects. This role is ideal for professionals with strong leadership and technical expertise in managing infrastructure development.
Responsibility
- Oversee civil engineering design and design supervision
- Supervise and manage construction installations as part of the contractor’s team
- Conduct construction supervision and quality control for client or consultant teams
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations
- Coordinate with stakeholders for project planning and execution
- Mentor and train subordinate staff in technical and management skills
Experience and Qualifications
Graduate Civil Engineer from a recognised institution with more than 4 years post-graduate working experience in any or a combination of the following:
- Civil Engineering design and design supervision
- Construction installation supervision and management as a member of a contractor’s team, or
- Construction Supervision and quality control as a member of a consultant or client team.
- Must be registered with the Board of Engineering, or another national Board of Engineering recognised by the Dominica Board of Engineering.
The following would be advantageous.
- Work experience in construction supervision
- Registration as an Engineer with the Board of Engineering for at least 1 year.
- Membership in the Dominica Association of Professional Engineers
- Experience or understanding of design, planning and construction management using FIDIC, CDB, WB or Building construction contract form.
- Working knowledge or training in construction contracts.
- Working knowledge or understanding costing, construction procurement and tendering.
- Â Experience or working knowledge of surveying equipment
- MSc or MBA in Project Management, Construction Engineering and Management or similar field.
- A demonstrated aptitude for continuing training and development of self, peers and subordinates.
