Job Description
Become a Sanitary Engineer at Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority -(DASPA) and help implement sanitation strategies that ensure cleanliness and safety across all port facilities. This role requires technical expertise and commitment to quality.
Responsibility
- Oversee waste management and sanitation systems
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure hygiene compliance
- Manage the maintenance of sanitation equipment
- Implement and monitor cleaning protocols
- Coordinate waste disposal operations with contractors
- Maintain records of sanitation activities
Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of waste management practices and sanitation protocols
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with sanitation equipment and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Previous experience in waste management or sanitation is preferred

Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA) is charged with providing a coordinated and integrated system of airports, seaports, port services, as well as managing the assets, liabilities, resources, and functions of the ports. The DASPA Act allows the Authority to contract out any of these responsibilities, with the authorization of the Minister. DASPA provides tailgating, stevedoring and longshore services at the seaports while ground handling is provided by private local companies at the airports.
