Responsibility

• Administer the Corporation’s Solid Waste Management Programs. Supervise and direct the Sanitary Landfill staff.
• Manage the disposal of solid waste, construction and demolition debris (rubble), hazardous materials, composting, recycling, waste reduction, and other specialist waste disposal activities.
• Monitor the Landfill programs and infrastructure to ensure compliance with all applicable local/government regulations and the Corporation’s code.
• Planning, scheduling and supervising the maintenance of the assigned equipment and the maintenance and implementation of infrastructure improvements.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, or Natural Sciences
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sanitation, waste management, and hazardous materials handling
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to manage multiple operational processes simultaneously
• Valid driver’s license (desirable)
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Benefits and Others

Work Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.

Location: Fond Cole, Dominica.
