Although we had a relatively uninterrupted academic year in Dominica, the threat posed by the covid pandemic was ever-present. We had to adjust teaching and learning activity to mitigate the spread and therefore it obviously impacted the way we conducted education. Against this backdrop, we are delighted at the performance of our students.

Local CXC Registrar, Magalie Celestine, said the students in Dominica did creditably well but noted that the overall percentage pass for the country decreased by 2.9%.
In terms of our overall percentage pass, the graph shows that from 2018 there has been a downward trend in Dominica’s performance. There was a 2.9 percent decrease in the overall percentage pass of students receiving acceptable grades 1, 2, and 3 in the 2021 CSEC exams when compared to 2019 and a 1.2 percent decrease when compared to 2020.
