4 Years Building Resilience Together

October 2017 marked the beginning of a story of collaboration and commitment between IsraAID and the Commonwealth of Dominica. IsraAID arrived in Dominica after Hurricane Maria with an emergency response team focused on the distribution of emergency relief items, provision of emergency medical and psychological support, and of water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions.

IsraAID’s commitment with Dominica was not limited to the emergency response. We have continued working with the communities and supporting Dominica to become the world’s first climate resilient country.

The projects have changed over the years, according to the communities’ needs, IsraAID has remained constant promoting Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and building resilience through a holistic approach.

Now, 4 years after the beginning of our operations, we are working to support the country´s Digital Transformation with projects that enhance Dominica´s online presence and visibility in areas such as Livelihoods and Education.

IsraAid wants to thank the communities and the Commonwealth of Dominica for these years of mutual support, collaboration, and learning. Thank you for these 4 years of building resilience together and for those to come.

The following infographic summarizes the most important activities we´ve implemented in the past 4 years:
