Ambassador Chu Moaming Affirms Ongoing Cultural Collaboration with Dominica

The Chinese Ambassador to Dominica, His Excellency Chu Moaming, has assured the public that cultural exchanges between China and Dominica will continue to expand as the friendship between the two countries deepens. Ambassador Moaming made this statement during the opening ceremony of a cultural exchange event at the Alliance Française Dominica, which was part of the celebrations marking the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Dominica and China.

Ambassador Moaming highlighted that despite the physical distance of over 14,000 kilometers and language differences, China and Dominica have maintained a relationship characterized by mutual understanding and support. He emphasized that both nations share rich, vibrant cultures and are committed to promoting cultural exchanges. The Ambassador expressed his belief that these exchanges will continue to grow as the friendship between the two countries strengthens.

Acting Prime Minister Dr. Irving McIntyre also spoke at the event, reflecting on the 20-year friendship based on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared progress between Dominica and China. Dr. McIntyre noted that China has been a steadfast partner in Dominica’s development, providing support in infrastructure, health, education, and trade. He emphasized that this cultural exchange further strengthens the friendship between the two nations.

Dr. McIntyre welcomed the opportunity to share the distinctive cultures and traditions of both countries, and assured that Dominica will continue to embrace activities that demonstrate mutual respect and affinity. He reiterated that Dominica remains a loyal friend to China and looks forward to continuing these exchanges to enhance understanding and appreciation of both the Dominican and Chinese way of life.
