Anyone Undermining the CBI Program Is an Enemy of the State – PM Skerrit

PM Roosevelt Skerrit has declared that anyone undermining the integrity of the current CBI program is an enemy of the state; and former DLP government consultant, Parry Bellot, agreed with this fact. Skerrit said the DLP administration has been able to develop Dominica socially and economically and also improve the standard of life for its citizens with the help of the citizenship investment fund.

The prime minister said his government has been able to construct hundreds of climate resilient houses free of charge for vulnerable Dominicans and rehabilitated numerous schools, bridges, roads, and other public infrastructure using the CBI fund. He said anyone that does not appreciate what the government has done with the fund or appreciae the immense value of the program is anti-Dominica and anti-progressive.

Skerrit made it clear that his administration has been very transparent and strategic in the way the CBI fund is utilized, and noted that the opposition even appreciates these things but would never publicly agree to them. He urged the opposition and other critics to lay politics aside and give the government due credit when anything good is done for the development of the people and growth of the nation.

In the same vein, former productivity consultant Parry Bellot has credited the 15 years of the DLP administration to 15 years of economic, social, political, and educational development in Dominica. Bellot said people in the diaspora are even amazed at the developmental milestones achieved by the Skerrit-led government and applauded the government for its commitment to the welfare of the people and the growth of the country.
