According to president of the Dominica Calypso Association (DCA) Davidson “Observer” Victor, the show is expected to be “massive” and will attract some “big guns.”
“We have the likes of Hunter who is a former calypso monarch along other big names like Webb who is a very troublesome contender over the years also with the likes of Black Dimond making a comeback, Deros, Healer and a number of veterans like Lille,” he said.
Observer explained that three judges will do duties in the evening proceedings where over 60 persons are expected to participate. “Twelve (12) will be chosen to move to the quarter finals and we expect this show to be massive and the beginning of carnival celebrations in Dominica,” he stated.
