Health Minister Cassani Laville has commended the operational expansion of Sagicor Insurance in Dominica. Laville said insurance protects against unfortunate risks, and that Sagicor had been in the business for decades, protecting Dominicans against various categories of future risks. He noted that the insurance company provides coverage for life, health, vehicle, and property insurance.
Laville disclosed this at the official opening of two new Sagicor offices in Dominica. The company’s new offices are located at Corner Hillsborough Street and Great George Street in Roseau. The CEO of Sagicor Life, Donald Austin, said the opening of the new offices would serve to expand the development and operational digitization of the company on the Island.
According to Austin, Sagicor had been working for several years to digitize its services so that customers can carry out insurance business on their mobile devices. He said the company had been evolving steadily and that a full digitalization process will distinguish it from others in the region.

Laville appreciated the management of Sagicor for their contributions to economic and sporting development in Dominica. He noted that the company has always supported the government to make life easier for the general population when natural disasters and other unforceable events occur. He said the company helped people to recover from losses suffered as a result of unfortunate incidents, including sponsoring many programmes and events in the country.
Laville and the management of Sagicor also appreciated the principal representative of the company in Dominica, Cheryl Rolle, for her immense contributions to developing the insurance business in Dominica. Rolle was rewarded with the “Lady of the Moment” award for her impeccable service to Sagicor over the past 35 years.
